Games you can easily play via Skype
Playing games with friends and family is a great way to socialize, and it can be a lot of fun. But did you know that you can schedule a Skype call and have a game night?
True or false
If you want to test the limits of someone's imagination and learn something about them, try playing Truth or Lie. It's a very self-explanatory game, and it's perfect for Skype calls. A player can say any statement that comes to mind.
It can be something as simple as "Yesterday it snowed in Washington." Or they might say something like, "The moon is made of cheese." The task of the other player is to say if this statement is true or not. After five wrong answers, the game is over.
Two truths and a lie
This is all about tone and how smart you are. The player is expected to tell two true statements about himself, preferably, and one lie. They should all sound equally plausible. The other players guess which one is the lie. This is a good way to check how well they know you, and perhaps reveal something intriguing.
Last letter
It is an interesting game with which you will be able to test your knowledge and the speed with which you develop. It is fantastic in large groups. So make a group call on Skype and choose a category. Let's say: "Animals".
One player then says: "Elephant." The next player takes the last letter of that word and says a word from the same category, for example "Tiger". It would be interesting to see how long it takes before anyone comes up with another word.
Riddles
If you want a game for all ages, try charades. It works very well on Skype, regardless of the size of the group. You use gestures to explain a word, and you have to be careful not to say anything.
If you're worried you won't be able to stay silent, just hit the mute button. Any category will do. Try movies, TV shows, celebrities, or countries and cities.
lyrics of the songs
Here's another guessing game that can be incredibly fun and interesting for a group of people. One person hums the tune of a famous song and the others guess the lyrics or the artist. Whoever guesses the most songs wins.
Guess the word
It is also known as Guess the Person because it is the most interesting. You just have to think about something or someone in your life or something else.
And the other participants ask you yes or no questions. In the end, when you get closer to the answer, you can ask a direct question.
21 questions.
The 21 questions game is a great option for people who are in a new relationship and are currently separated. It's also a great way to get to know someone in your life a little better. It is a simple game in which specific questions are asked. One person can ask 21 questions in a row, or players can take turns. You can ask whatever you want, but here are some examples:
- How would you describe yourself? Be as detailed as you want.
- If you could be in someone's shoes during the day, who would it be?
- What is your favorite movie?
You better.
When it's time to get silly, go with you. The more you let yourself be carried away by your imagination, the better the game will be. It's especially fun if you pick something that you know the other players will have trouble answering.
If you just ask, "Would you rather have ice cream or salad?" then you're playing the wrong game. But if you say something like, "Would you rather swim in the ocean or walk on Earth?" it can make someone think twice.
Tell the story
If you want a more discreet and creative game, you can stick to storytelling. It's not a game in the usual sense, but it can be fun. Think of five words, nouns, verbs and adjectives. And the rest of the participants must invent a phrase, also adding their own words.
Or they can create five consecutive sentences, each with a word that you have said. And you take turns building a story. You never know where it can take you. So get ready for some very long Skype video calls.
Train your mind and spirit on Skype
Hopefully at least one of the games on our list will make you laugh or speed up your time. If all else fails, you can always watch a movie with friends on Skype. Play the movie at the same time or enlarge the screen so everyone can see it.
Often just seeing the faces of your friends and family on Skype is enough to put a smile on your face, and gaming isn't always necessary. However, it is good to have some ideas up your sleeve.
